Italian food and a Chinese haircut

Monday, July 2, 2007
This past week has been pretty routine. We went to an Italian restaurant yesterday and I had pizza, French fries and garlic bread. It was really good. It didn’t taste like pizza from New York, but it was the closest we could get to it in Wuhan. Today ZOZ took me to get a haircut. I have been asking people for nearly a week if they knew of a barber shop that would be able to cut my hair. There are shops all over Wuhan, but no one knew of a good one. ZOZ took me to one of the shops on his campus. For 12 Yuan ($1.70) I got my hair washed, a head massage and a haircut. The haircut was not very good, but I think it is what I can expect from them. After my haircut we went to get something to eat at one of the local markets. I had some fried dumplings, which were ok.
