I spent most of the day relaxing and about 1 pm I got ready to go to the New Oriental School. Most of the members in my department met at the bus stop and we all rode there together. At the New Oriental School we watched a video of the NI-1 comprehensive class and Lily gave us some handouts with the schedule for the week and some sample sections of the book we would be using. I also found out that we would be finally moving into our apartment this evening, which made me so happy. We also discussed our tentative schedule with Jocelyn. I am scheduled to start teaching on July 25. I was a bit disappointed because after sitting in on some of the classes and watching the video, I am so ready to start teaching. She asked me if I was willing to do some work before then and I told her “yes.” We left the New Oriental School and went back to the office/apartment to pack our things and wait for Janey to get out of class. After we were all packed she finally arrived and we took cabs over to our new apartment. The apartment is amazing. It had four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and a balcony. The place was so dusty though because they pretty much just finished building it. Our first night in the apartment was interesting because we blew the fuse and we had to sleep with no air conditioning and I also didn’t get to shave my face or iron my clothes the next morning so I felt really bad.
